This study was effected in the Experil!lental Forest Field "Barranca de Cupatitzio", that it is located in the Cordillera Neovolcánica, located near to the city of Uruapan, in Michocán state, with the purpo.se of carrying out an analysis of the sites of fixed size of l 000 m2 with the sites of variahle size hased on the angular rate (count), in order to introduce a more efficient alternative in the evaluation of the forest resources through the sampling. The-numhér of sampling points that used for fixed size, it was equal to sampling points for the variahlé size; thesé gol up in the same point. For their analysis it was formed a group thn:e sample size, with 6, 28 and 55 plots. In relation with the cost, it was evaluated for each one of the types of plots, considering the value of the instruments and the salary of lhé personnel employe<l.
