Site productivity estimation is essential for forest management. Site Index is a measure of productivity and also it is a widely employed methodology in the world. However, one of the most serious problems in forest management is the lack of planning of stands according to their productivity, causing overharvest or subharvest in some cases. The aim of this study was to estimate site index and to evaluate the feasibility of employment of polymorphic or anamorphic curves for natural stands of Pinus teocote in eastern Hidalgo state. There were used 345 height-age pair values of dominant and codominant trees, which were evaluated in pure stands of this species and were fit to Schumacher growth model that according to the value of the Mean Square Error, the high value of Pseudo R2 adjusted and residuals correct distribution correct, showed an adequate fit to the data to determine the guide curve and constructing anamorphic and polymorphic site index curves. It was established station qualities I, II, III, IV and V with values of 27, 23, 19, 15 and 1 m, respectively, at age 50 years age basis.
