One of the outstanding plantations on different locations ali .over the world is Eucalvptus microtheca F. Muell .. mostly for the aridity adaptation of this specie. In 1982 as an experimental leve!. were introduced in Charcas on the high plateau of San Luis Potosí. México. ten provenances from Australia. Through ten years of evaluation, thc tria! showed that thcre was no significan! statistical differences between the plants origins. except for thc tree volume. The average values were: 5.3 cm breast hight diameter, class 2 for stem straightness; 3.7 m of total height and 83.2% of survive condition. The tree volume was from 0.0062 to O.O 143 cubic meters. The average volume increment was 0.53 cubic meters per hectare, per year.
