Results after 3 years and 1 month since the plantation establishment shown that Pinus strobus var. chiapensis Mari. and P. ayacahuite var. veitchii demostrated the best features to be recomended as christmas tree. The prevailing crown shape in most of the studied species, was the normal type, wich is desirable for marketing christmas trees.
