Abstract

An essay was carried out in the "Guadiana" forest nursery of the SARH, located in the city of Durango. The effect of five sowing depths of Pinus engelmannii Carr. were analyzed (O.O, 0.5,/ I .O. 1.5 and 2.0 cm) with respect to the emergency in the seedbed. The experimental design used was a completely randomized plots with 100 seeds per experimental unit. The results show that the average days of emergency were from 16.31 to 17.65. with the smallest values for the 0.5. 1.0 y 2.0 cm sowing depths. The best emergency total percentages were obtained in the sowing depths of 0.5 and 1.0 cm with 66.2 and 64.1 %. respectively: therefore those are the more appropriate.
