Abstract

Thís paper describes the methodology to establish an inventory system applicable to jojoba wild populations. The study was conducted in an area in Southem Baja California. It involved three sampling stages:

First, jojoba spoting and/or stratification sarnpling, dealing with environrnental factors related to jojoba and its mapping under different criteria.
Second, production sampling, characterized by deriving ajojoba production table by means of a variable correlation.
Third, system sampling (alternatives and dummies). In this case, three sampling intensities are tested so that they may be statistically compared against a dummy greater intensity.
