Abstract

This paper decribes the results from planting rnethods for Dendropanax arboreus, established under an experimental randorn block design, treated four times with four repetitions.
Testing the:

- Root ball (bag).- Root ball (bag).- The stump.- The bare root- The root ball-stump

Seeds were harvested in the Campo· Experimental Forestal "San Felipe-Bacalar" in Quintana Roo, the plants for,1he study were also produced in the same field.
Four years after setting the.plantation, the conclusion drawn place that the best planting method was the root ball or bag method, average growths being 2.84 m and 4.7 cm oftotal height and D B H respectively with a 93% survival rate.
The next best planting method was the root ball-stump method followed by the bare root method.
The least succefül method was the stump, its growth rates being 1.8 m and 3.0 cm oftotal height and normal diameter respectively with a 35% survival rate.
