Abstract

In the present work, the variability of the dasometric characteristics and their possible relationship with the physico-chemical properties of each of the types and phases of soil located in the "Barranca de Cupatitzio" Forest Experimental Field were analyzed, in order to find some explanations of the behavior of the forest masses, in terms of: composition, density, diameter structure and increase <;> in basal area of the various forest conditions. The possible relationship between the properties of the soil and the characteristics of the mass was analytically determined. In the data analysis, mean values were used, which is not highly recommended since information is possibly lost in the logical explanation of the resulting prediction models. ,However. more detailed information could not be used. Usually. The results show the existence of pure masses of two-story pine in the dirty sandy-granulated and crumb-sandy areas: in the first one called Pinus / mvsoni, and in the second P. douglasiana. The sandy and gravelly discontinuous soils (bad country) are inhabited by two populations. one of Pinus spp., which constitutes the first floor. and another of Quercus spp., which is found in a lower stratum.
